It is a fully independent wholly owned subsidiary of China Xinxing (Group) Corporation, which is under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

China Xinxing Xiamen Import and Export Corporation is the only corporation in China authorized to export military equipment and logistic supplies. It is authorized to import and export goods from any port in China, and to trade with Taiwan. The primary business of the corporation is the trade in military supplies, but it also exports shoes, bags, stone products, arts and crafts, clothing, lighting products and foodstuffs. It imports industrial products such as electric power supply equipment and chemical products.
